A desk that never sleeps, a founder who signs off
Every morning, Pickleballer’s news desk reads the published results, official tour announcements and reporting from across the sport, then files the day’s stories, scores, briefs and player cards. Desk stories carry the byline Pickleballer Desk. Columns and features carry their authors’ names. The founder reviews each edition before it is published.
The rules the desk follows
- Every fact has a source. Each news story links to the reporting and official results it was drawn from, at the bottom of the page.
- No invented quotes. Quotes appear only when a published source attributes them to the speaker, and we link to that source.
- Scores come from results, not memory. If two sources disagree, we say so or leave it out.
- Analysis is labeled. The Breakdown is where opinion and interpretation live. News stories report.
- No sponsored verdicts. Gear Lab never takes payment for coverage. If that ever changes, it will be labeled at the top of the story.
- Images we have the right to use. Covers and player cards are Pickleballer designs; card illustrations are stylized, not likenesses. Photos appear only when we own or license them, with credit. Video comes from official channels via their embed players.
Corrections
